Visa to Ethiopia
In order to obtain a visa to Ethiopia applicants should provide to our Agency the following:
Tourist visa
- Valid, signed U.S. passport. Must be valid for at least 6 months after departing and contain at least one blank visa page.
- 1 passport-type photograph.
- 1 filled out visa application form
Business visa
- Valid, signed U.S. passport. Must be valid for at least 6 months after departing and contain at least one blank visa page.
- 1 passport-type photograph.
- 1 filled out visa application form
- A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Ethiopia, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.
The letter must explain:
- Nature of business to be performed;
- Name and address of reference to be visited;
- Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
- The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
Fees and proccessing time: US$ 110 - multiple entries tourism and business; US$70 - transit. Processing time - 3-5 days.
Payment: Money order, company check or personal check made out to Consular Assistance, Inc.
Additional information:
- Tourist or business visa is usually valid for multiple entries within 90 days only from date of issue for a stay up to 24 months or as permitted by immigration officials.
- Yellow fever immunization is recommended and have your certificate upon your arrival in Ethiopia.
- Upon arrival at the airport you must declare any foreign currency to the customs authority
